About Mikayla

Meet Mikayla! Mikayla, is a highly skilled and experienced Certified Aesthetic Nurse Injector, as well as a proud co-owner of This is Sundays Inc. With a passion for helping others look and feel their best, Mikayla has dedicated her career to the art of aesthetic medicine.

Mikayla’s journey began at Cape Breton University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Eager to advance her knowledge and expertise, she went on to earn her Masters in Nursing degree from Athabasca University, further contributing to her excellence in her field. Mikayla developed a solid nursing foundation working in emergency departments at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and then the Halifax Infirmary prior to her transition to the aesthetic field. This experience allowed her to develop of keen sense of precision, attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex medical situations with grace and confidence.

Driven by a desire to explore a more specialized avenue of nursing, Mikayla transitioned to the world of aesthetic medicine. She obtained her initial certification through the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine and has since had the benefit of learning from and training with some of the best injectors from all over the globe. This exposure to diverse perspectives has allowed her to stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving field and offer her patients only the best.

In 2019, Lauren obtained her certification in neuromodulators and dermal fillers from the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine. Since then, she has eagerly pursued numerous advanced trainings and continued education opportunities across both Canada and the United States. This constant quest for knowledge ensures that Lauren stays at the forefront of the latest techniques and innovations in the industry.

Having personally experienced skin issues while growing up, Lauren possesses a deep empathy and understanding for her clients’ concerns. She believes in celebrating individual beauty and embraces a “less is more” philosophy to achieve natural-looking results. This is Sundays Client Care Coordinator. Kirsten is from Sydney, NS but spent the better half of the last 10 years in the UK, where she worked for one of the busiest wellness centers in Wales.

Combined with her most recent experience in Business Development, Kirsten looks forward to pairing her skills and passion for helping others to provide each of our clients a unique experience.
