During laser treatment, a diode laser beam passes through the skin towards hair follicles. The penetrating energy then heats up the root of the hair, which in turn prevents future hair growth. 

Diolaze has a built in skin cooling surface which is one of the largest for all hair removal devices. This makes treatment more comfortable than other devices. Most patients report minimal to no discomfort during treatment.

Diolaze can be used for laser hair removal on all skin types. It eliminates hair growth evenly and quickly. Diolaze XL uses the gold standard wavelength to achieve powerful results. Treatments take only 10 to 30 minutes rather than 40 minutes per session. Patients will enjoy results in fewer sessions than with other laser treatments. The 3 piece cooling in the laser therapy device means patients can remain comfortable with fewer breaks.

Diolaze can be safely used on most areas of the body that have unwanted hair. Most commonly treated areas include: bikini, legs, arms, underarms, chest, back, shoulders, hands, feet, stomach, neck, lip, chin, beard and sideburns.

For at least six weeks prior to undergoing laser hair removal treatment, avoid waxing and plucking. These forms of hair removal remove the hair at the root, which is needed for laser hair removal to work properly. Shaving prior to treatment is okay and recommended.

Also, avoid sun exposure for at least six weeks before and after treatment. Sun exposure can make laser hair removal less effective and can increase the risk of complications following treatment.

When you arrive for your appointment, your provider will greet you and take you into the treatment room. Your provider will apply gel to the treatment area, and you will be provided with protective eyewear to wear during the procedure.

Then, your provider will use a handheld laser device to deliver light pulses to the targeted area(s). You may experience some mild discomfort during the procedure, but the cooling tip technology makes the treatment more comfortable and is typically tolerated very well by our patients. With DiolazeXL, treatment times tend to be shorter due to the larger spot size, which means you’ll be able to complete your appointment quickly.

To promote optimal healing and minimize the risk of complications, it’s essential to avoid activities that could further irritate or damage your skin during the recovery period. This may include avoiding direct sun exposure, swimming in chlorinated pools, using hot tubs or saunas, and rigorous exercise that could cause excessive sweating.

With each treatment, hair is reduced and best results are observed after four to six sessions. The number of sessions will differ depending on your hair color, hair type, body area, and skin tone. 

The number of appointments you need depends on multiple factors, such as the thickness and color of your hair, the type of area being treated and the individual’s skin tone. Our clinic recommends packages of 6 sessions. We recommend spacing treatments out 4-6 weeks apart to allow the hair to regrow.

It’s important to note that areas of hormonal hair growth, like the face and the other body parts, may require additional treatments and maintenance treatment.

Most patients start to notice decreased hair growth after 2-4 sessions. Even though you will notice a reduction in body hair reasonably quickly, it’s important to complete the total recommended number of sessions to catch the hair follicle in all stages of its growth cycle.

Once a patient has achieved their desired level of hair reduction, the results are long-lasting; this can be anywhere from several years to permanent. However, it is essential to note that new hair follicles can become active over time, with some hair growth returning. Additionally, areas of hormonal hair growth such as the face, armpits and bikini areas can have regrowth, so you may need yearly touch-ups.

Basic Bikini includes 2 finger widths outside your bikini line (i.e outside our bathing suit or underwear). Full Bikini includes basic bikini plus the front of your bikini area (i.e underneath where your bathing suit or underwear would usually be). Brazilian includes everything from the full bikini plus 4 finger widths down the inner thigh and outside the bikini line and extends to the back. Brazilian + includes what’s included with your regular brazilian PLUS further down the inner thigh and above the bikini line to the belly button.
